Meet Bec
Head Floral Designer and Owner
Where did you grow up?
I grew up by the seaside on the Northern Beaches. We had a beautiful big garden with large mulberry trees I would play and climb in as a child which is probably where my love for plants and flowers began.
Favourite meal?
Definitely can’t get past a hearty home cooked meal! Mum’s Spag Bol has always been my comfort food, no matter where I would be in the world I would always crave it when I missed home. It’s now my daughters favourite meal and hope it will continue with the generations.
Loves a vase at home full of…
Garden roses or hydrangea or a simple stem of monstera.
Best advice for planning a wedding….
Work out what is important to you both for your wedding day, work with people you click with and who’s style suits your vision. And most importantly don’t forget what the day is about - getting married to the one you love.
Favourite music?
There is always music playing in the flower studio. We also have a vinyl record player at home and love winding down by listening to records to the likes of Louis Armstrong, Nina Simone, Curtis Mayfield, Talking Heads, Rodriguez, Buena Vista Social Club.
Bucket list destination?
I love places of culture to explore and beautiful gardens…as well as visiting nature. In Australia I really want to visit Tasmania and overseas I’d love to go back to Italy and explore there more and take more daughter to Monets garden in Paris (even though I’ve been to Paris multiple times).
Home style…
We live by the ocean, our place is inspired by our travels, lots of plants of course, white barn style doors, rattan and a mix of old and new.
What do you spend your spare time doing?
Spending time out with family, exploring gardens, bush walks, taking our little girl to the park or sipping coffee, watching movies. I enjoy simplicity.
