The week of Steph and Jamie’s wedding was the worst weather that had hit Sydney and the Hunter region in over a 100 years so much so that their venue had completely flooded and was cancelled on them a day before their wedding. Never before had anyone been in this situation. Luckily their wedding planners and stylists Little Lane Events came to the rescue and found a stunning little vinyard venue Ironbark Hill that hadn’t been affected by the floods.
That meant having to rethink our designs the night before to accommodate the new space - months of planning rethought within hours! Luckily as usual we worked with such an amazing team of suppliers and everything came together seamlessly.
The day of the wedding turned out to be the most stunning warm and sunny Autumn day in the end and everyone was happy. Ellie and I cruised up to the Hunter Valley blasting music, singing and dancing in the Benji flower mobile, dodging fallen trees along the highway. Coffee pitt stops a long the way. Nothing beats doing weddings out of Sydney in the country it’s always like a little getaway and adventure. Cows crossing, tree dodging, usually getting lost on the way home.
